most excellent weekendbeginning

J and I decided to do a girlies nite (standard going out scenario for moi but unusual for her given that she is a whole foot taller than me and surrounded by the boys)... basically i think we needed to get together and discuss the whole clothes with sequins cheaper in studio in bandra/ gamdevi/ opera house byliane bit... ooooooo, the pressure of this wedding will create the major dent in the minor bank balance which neveer gets fatter becos of all the lovely shoes that call out to me from the store window everytime i pass by. ( went earlier in evening to some design studio which had really pretty clothes and discoevered that coins, ruffles and all things halter-neckish are very in right now...and crushed silk skirts.. and also very overpriced - bloody hell, spent 15k on my own wedding lehenga noway can i spend more than that for someone else's sangeet - even if sunidhi chavan will perform. especially not for her!!! so there!!!)

So we wented off to ghetto - twice in a month already!!! this is really fun - i had not been there in ages - (used to love it when in college and have left the place at 5.30 in the morning and actually driven behind the milk vans which left from the worli milk colony, but now stupid cops think the whole city will be drowned in sea of corruption if people party beyond 1am and shut everything down - but that is rant enough for another post - moving on) - actually pretty much since I left college and the hype about the coolness of the suburbs started - which is not true, not not - except for hawaiin shack which is cheap and easy,(not to be passing judgement on me for my choices though peeps) bandra pubs are filled with women in halters hoping someone will look at them and boys in tight tee-shirts straight from the steroid room not looking at haltered women becos too busy checking out their own biceps...

So, there we were discussing sequins sipping our beers and husband called and said oh, he would also like to come!!!! hmmmm, very suspicious - when did he start to party? so he joined us and then in walked another familiar face - our dive master whose patience i had super-sorely tried by refusing to take off the mask during the 3meter dives. He's quite a cutey so we abadoned sequin-talk to go shoot some pool - except that i suck i really really suck at pool - like at most organised sport with rules and having to hit a target variety game. But it was fun - everyone being tres encouraging when I was still trying to put the black ball inside one of the holes...
which i did finally in a beautiful shot (since noone else around to refute that now in cold light of day)

aaaaaaaah, cheap beer, good company and rock music. the stuff good friday nites are made of. Looking forward to starting weekend - which is still on hold since I am sadoing at work on a saturday afternoon!!!

PS: husband complained that he felt a bit sqeuamish becos he had a coke and then a juice - dont take my advise on not mixing drinks and this is eggzackly what happens!!!

PPS: This whole bloody not eating chicken and cows and fish is strating to tell because I cant go beyond the whole 200kg leg-press barrier. My poor trainer - he no longer can strut around the gym with me - the girl who does a whole lotta leg press. (all time high was 290kg like a month ago).... So in pursuit of protein I will go - eat blech!! tofu or i dont know mushrooms? superblech!!! why the hell does tasty food also have to look so cute and make me feel guilty. bloody calf-eyed veal!!!
